Thinking of selling a few plants off, how do you go about posting them and how much would it roughly cost to send something like an Amazon Sword which is around 3 inches. Cheers.
I recently got some plants delivered from a website and they just put the plants in plastic bags with just a little water. I am guessing however depending on your climate you may need to insulate the box especailly if the plants are a warm water variety. The cost of posting to I think will come down to either weight of the package or size of the package, so I would put the plants in as small a bag as possible without damaging them and go for as small a box as possible. Just remebered some of the plants I got where potted but I am guessing you will be selling/ posting yours bare rooted. If you really wanted to you could wrap some damp newspaper around the roots of the plants to help them stay moist and not get top stressed as that is how many of my no aquatic posted plants arrive.
Just had another after thought and should have said to make sure there are no plant restrictions regarding where you are wanting to send the plants to. Some councils/ shires or local authorities can have banned plants, mostly because they have found certain ones to become major environmental pests when released either accidentally or deliberately into local waterways/ habitats.
