hi, i have tried putting cucumber and zuccini down but they just arent interested as my amano shrimps go for it. the snails dont even attempt to go onto it. if i have the veg suck to the side the ottos and shrimpsfind it! how do i catch them? i cant see them at the mo so the must be behind something or in the gravel. anyone have any suggestions of how to attract them so i can grab them and put them in another tank.

i thought you meant Multiple Tank Syndrome..... was gonna say coming on this forum is a sure fire way of getting it unfortunately

grab a handful of substrate and sift through it, you'll find some if you do this a few times, make sure the substrate is clean before doing this though as you could stir up a load of muck and cause a mini cycle

thay tend to come up to the surface in the early evening (at least mine do) i pick mine up with a planting tool as thay have a very hard shells

alot of people dont like mts's but thay do a good job of cleaning/ aerating the gravel

i have both type of mts. lol

i just want to move them t my fry tank becuase its empty and i know how fast they brred and i dont have room for a small loach at the mo to eat them!

Best thing ive found to catch them is...

At night time, put a algae wafer, or some catfish pellets on the sand/gravel, turn the fishtank lights out and wait about 30 mins, turn it bk on they will loads out ;)
