How do you calculate how many gallons

My breeding/fry tank has all those things in it!
the old addage "assume makes an "ass" out of "u" and me" come to mind as dose a quote from under seige 2 "assumption is the mother of all

How on earth do you keep a fry tank clean with a substrate and decor in there? My dedicated breeding tanks for fish which do not show parental care are bare apart from spawning media and once the fry have hatched that is removed too so i can keep the tank as clean as possible.
