How Do I Lower Tap Water Phosphate

My tap water phosphate is 10ppm and I don't know how to lower it

 help, ideas, suggestions please

Using an RO filter works but that may leave other parameters out of whack when used in freshwater. The other option is to use GFO. This is a bit costly.

Rowaphos is effective at lowering Phosphates but it goes into your filter in a sock and reduces the concentration in your tank.

Well I don't want to invest in a rodi unit, can you tell me what gfo is please

I am using fluval clear max but its doing nothing. my tap water is 10ppm
