How Do I Feed My Apple Snail

I know what they eat veggies and stuff but do I just pop some in the tank at the bottom and hope he finds it? I've put some sliced carrot in but it hasn't been touched.

How often do I need to feed it? It's moving around the tank at night.

Chunk of cumcumber take the skin off, 20 sec in the microwave and drop it in the tank he will find it in about 30sec? You can also drop in a algae wafer once a week or if like me you have 300+ apples to feed i bake big cookies for them....lol and no im not joking (crushed cat bisciuts,honey,calium powder, some vegis all mixed then in the oven for a big cookie)

Thanks I'll try the cucumber. I have loads of algae wafers but my bloody fish eat them all. The snails have no chance.
