Most fish take at least 24 hours to settle into a new home, during which time they will be too stressed to eat. Try literally a single pellet/flake before bedtime for you tonight. If one of them readily eats it, add another.

If you have no other fish in the tank yet, be very wary of having uneaten food rotting in the water, it will create ammonia (and then hopefully nitrites and finally nitrates if fully cycled). As a guide, each fish will be content on food the size of an eye, once they are aready to eat ;)

Goat thats tiny font. Dude, why? I've got near perfect sight and i'm wincing to see what you put :shout:

ok i will try it and it is a community tank, so the food doesnt rott.

Should have gone to Specsavers ;)

Why? I'm taking the mickey out of the font size by fishy!

also is it normal for them to hide under the ornaments and behind the filter?
well i know they hide but is all day normal?
also behid the filter?

Kuhlis have a reputation for hiding everywhere they should not be... In the heater chamber; in the filtering system; hiding in the roots of a dead plant you have just removed from the tank etc.

The more Kuhlis you have, the more likely you will see them out and about during the day, seems to be the general concensus.

What dimensions are your tank?
What fish are they mixed with?
How long has the tank been "cycled?"

It might be safe (and a good thing for both them and you) to add some more, say ~4, depending on your answers to the above questions ;)

I agree
I have two, and they went from hiding to swimming all over the place to hiding again. I think they just feel more comfortable being in something or under stuff. Mine have gone so far as to hollow out sections of a piece of driftwood and hide in the holes.. lol not sure if thats good or not but they look happy and will come out to eat when they smell food

kulhi loaches are nocturnal in the wild try popping some food in after the tank light has been off for 30 mins or if that dosnt work try some live food.

ok, will try trhe live food tonym.

I woke up this morning and saw bout 2-3 swimming out :)
progress!

1 last question about them...
If they burry their whole body under gravel can they get out?
