Fish Crazy
I've seen some sights in my day. It's difficult to say what was the most impressive. I experienced a night of lightening storms in the Sonoran desert in Mexico; and a crystallized forest in southwestern Germany one winter; a full moon night above a frozen lake surrounded by leafless trees casting shadows, the dry snow squeaking as you walked in one of Denver's city parks; a panoramic view of the northern California coastline from the top of hill in Big Sur with miles long waves rolling through kelp forests before they crashed on the rocky shore.that description of the rain in New Mexico is incredible. What a thing to have seen.
Probably the most surreal experience I ever had was static electricity rippling across the sand beneath my footsteps during a sand storm in Namibia. It was the middle of the night and I got up to try and seal a flap on our tent. Electric blue circles emerged beneath each foot step the same way water ripples across a placid body of water when you drop a stone into it. For a few moments I thought I was hallucinating.
