I did about an 80% water change about four hours ago. Ammonia now reads 1.0 and ph is 7.8. If in the morning the ammonia is still high, should I do even a larger water change? Also should I raise the ph?

Thanks. As long as I am on the right path I will wait. I just get worried when something changes and I think I may have messed up the seven weeks I have invested in this process.

By the way. This mornings readings are as follows;

ammonia=2.0
nitrite=0
nitrate=20
ph- 8.0

No problem there... the ammonia will clear.  The pH is plenty high.

Todays update. Ammonia dropped slightly, now reads 1.0 Everything else is the same.
