Hi!,
I've got a 9.5 inch Plec, which I aquired about six months ago. I'm not sure of its correct name, but it has leopard type markings. It seems healthy and happy in the tank, but it has small holes (largest about 2mm- or 1/8th of an inch) in its top fin (x3) and its tail fin (x5). Its had these since I've had the fish, and I was just wondering if this was common with plecs?
Sorry I can't do pics as I've not got the technology! B)

Thanks for that, unfortunately its not either of those :/ .
However, the link to planet catfish was useful, as I've been able to identify my fish as a LIPOSARCUS PARDALIS, though I don't know who thought that easy to remember name up. :D

Don't worry about holes, just old battle wounds that have healed leaving gaps in tissue. :)
