My parents don't want to go to the vet and everything I can find on the disease says all my fish should have developed ulcers ages ago and be dead.

Yes it would seem that, from reading the articles from the links, your fish should be dead by now. Did you read the one that mentioned using a salt dip? I think it was Discus news.

Nah I didn't do the salt dip I assumed my fish was past it.

I do not know what to do with it since I should be long dead, but it's not.

The other thing is the hole is, without a doubt repairing.

I think I'll just put him back in the main tank since his hole has actually almost fully healed it just hasn't got it's orange back yet.
