Hole In The Hasemania Nana.

Seen the pics but I know its hard to get pics of fish when you need to, but the most damaged side of the fish would be better.

Ok fishy fish has started cooperating.

Pics are downloading and uploading.

The pics are bad.
Your not going to save the fish on over the counter meds, you need a vet and to be honest I think its to late.

Issolate the fish.
Is there any other fish showing signs of the same thing.
When fish have open wounds the bacteria enters the fish causing alot of damage, resulting in septicemia.

None of my other fish have open wounds.

They just have the occasional red patch running between their scales, swimming madly.

I don't have a hospital tank, so it'll have to be something small to isolate it in.

I would still medicate the main tank with a bacerial med.
Bacteria can leak from a fish and enter the tank water infecting other fish.
As for the fish with the ulceration not looking good, you could issolate and try a bacterial med.

Only one of my fish has the hole, the others aren't as bad.

Action plan:

Isolate the hole'd one
Buy some pimafix

Ok I have a big vase ready and I'm going to isolate it.

In the uk for columnaris you usually use a bacterial med and pimafix.
But I wouldn't use the pimafix as the columnaris is not fluffy in appearance.
I would just use a bacterial med for now.

Imo deff Columnaris. Romet B is the only thing that will kill the parasites. I would treat the whole tank in this case with bacterial med. This must have happened over a number of days, shame is, if treated early, it could be cured quickly. Gotta be honest mate, doesn't look good for the fish. Take it to a vet. We have some stronger meds that will give an intense treatment, but the meds you by in LFS are generally a course of treatment over days. Romet B is my recommendation in isolation, and yes, bacterial med the whole tank.

I'm not going to be able to get to the vet, but I'm going to get some bacterial med now.

The isolated fish is in a 2.8L vase with a heater.
