Beware, hi-protein flakes and granules can seriously damage the health of your fishes.
My fish tanks have been stable for donkey years now, but until a few days back couldn't figure out, why it'd jump. Holmes' cap on.
After a process of elimination, I'd found out it wasn't the vegetables, livefoods, or the 'clean' substrate.....its actually caused by the hi-protein flakes and granules I'd used. Been trying to wean my lovelies off live/fresh foods to processed, as a part of the feeding-cycle I put them through, and then later back round again.
No wonder why I'd grown to hate doing water changes.
