Hi Im New

I know this isnt the right place to post this but it seems this is the only place I can post and I have a few questions:
1. is tank water safe to use to water garden plants?
2. My fish all seem healthy in themselves but some seem to have stringy white or see through poop is this indicative of something? if it is is there something that is safe to treat this with shrimp in the tank?
3. Is it safe to refill the tank after water changes with a hosepipe and add the dechlorinator straightinto the tank as it is filling?
4. Any idea why I can post anywhere else on here?
Thanks in advance

1: yes, as it's fairly high in nitrates it's great for plants; I use it in the garden and for my houseplants

2: It can be a sympton of internal parasites, but if the fish are well and happy, I wouldn't worry too much; fish poos come in all shapes and sizes! To put your mind at rest, don't feed the fish for one day a week and on another day, feed them some lightly cooked, shelled and crushed peas; that'll keep their digestions in good order.

3: Yes it is; just make sure the filter is switched off so you don't risk chlorinated water damaging your bacterial colonies. Add the dechor first. Lots of people with large or multiple tanks use a hose (I do; I couldn't manage three 4 foots and a 3 foot tank using buckets; my back would never forgive me!)

4: Because your membership hasn't been validated yet. I'm sure a mod will get around it eventually, or you can post a message in the sticky in the 'your new freshwater tank' forum; it's called 'unable to post' or something :)

thought id update this to say I now have 4 guppy fry about 2cm long!

You seem to adore Moss Balls as much as I do! Lovely tank! :)
