I am waiting to get my betta fish, he will be called JJ and is currently sat waiting in a jam jar at the fish shop all lined up with other betta's in jam jars. I thought this was cruel but others on another forum said they don't need much water or space. (Poor fish) At least JJ will have a lovely home soon.

I can't remember what you are supposed to do with the email, it's a few years since I joined! But I do remember that you have to do some thing to upgrade from 'validating' to 'member'

Hi and welcome. If you're just setting up there are loads of posts on here where newbies ( and I was one) haven't cycled their tank properly. Have a good look at that if you haven't already. I may be telling a grandmother how to suck eggs!!!! Good luck!

I have in the past been very successful with breeding discus, we then went onto marine fish.

After all of that I am back to a small tank for a betta. I hope I don't become too addicted again as at one point, when the Discus all paired up, our whole living room had tanks in it just so they could have their babies. Was a brilliant hobby. But then we had kids and needed the space for them.

I hope to get my betta in a day or two. Went in again to see him, bless! they all look so sad.
