Gone "Salty" yay. Had the Live rock in for 5/6 days now, and i can tell you that cycling a marine set-up is Waaaaaaayyyyyyyy more exciting than cycling a fresh water. Already got worms, polyp thingies, a tiny crab and a thing that looks like a snail x slug x elephant lol
Lokemer.......they eat about 3 -4 bloodworm twice a day. Small pond snails about the size of their eye is also recommended but haven't been able to find any yet. Also blackworm and tubifex are a good food for them.
You guys both have gorgeous tanks and critters!
Congrats!
You see, Netty, if you and your bettas moved up the road from me, in Canada, I could trade you pond snails by the ton for bettas.
Sounds like a good deal to me, lol.
netty - i'm comming for a break in cornwall in June - remind me nearer the time and i'll bring you some pond/pouch snails and some ramshorns so you can set up a little breeder for the puffers - or if you just pay the postage i'll send you lots in a little tub (should be quite cheap )
Thanks again everyone and Sy it's lovely to see you back in the Betta section
Cheers Pippoodle that would be great if you could send a few down. I've got a tank already to go for my little snail farm. I'll pm you my address again and whereabouts in Cornwall are you visiting?
Thanks, Netty, the virtual betta-pic-viewing drool absorbant bib you so kindly sent me previously had a chance to dry out so now I can look at all your lovely betta - and other - pics while enjoying full protection against keyboard splash.
