plan... erm... decided to throw my bank account at it and get a fully incorporated set up with LED lighting  rather than jerry build as i did before.
Tank is already up and running and just finished its basic cycle.. Just getting my head around a few tweaks... as you do... nothing is ever perfect and quite how you would like it

The tank is a Fluva M60 91L/20g

Comes with pretty much everything you need including Marine LED lighting. Ive added an extra LED to the compartment at the back for some macro algae and live rock rubble i have in there.
All in all its a good tank.. Rimless.. etched edges.. cabinet is a good strong cabinet and the added drain valve in the bottom that allows you to do a 20% water change without altering the water level in the main system is a real help. There is also the option of adding a sump tank if you wish just need to add another panel to the weir system at the back to work as a proper overflow

Theres 15kg of live rock in the main tank and another 2kg in the back bought from https/live-rock.co.uk/  great service and had stuff from there before for my other set ups so was pleased to see them still up and running.
Tank as been running for 10 days with live rock been in for a week. fully cycled at  5 days and now has some clean up crew in

Looking real good. I like the sound of that tank. If I ever step into the salty side, would seriously consider a tank like that.

wouldnt go back to fresh water now...its really easy doing marine once you have your head around the basics.. Yes its crazy expensive at set up, but after that its just basic maintenance .. oh and trying to squeeze in yet another coral... haha. The tank is great but my only issue with it is the back bit.. its not laid out so you can use it as a filter system. Its great for storing all your equipment in it.. but there is no set water flow pattern as there are fingers at the top of the dividers and holes at the bottom. So ive decided to add an external filter to it to get the water quality i want .  Other than that its good value for money as a kit, supper easy to set up

Ha ha  .yah i had noticed.. the salty side used to be well represented on here.. seems they have all gone elsewhere these days

I haven't been around as much lately but hope to be more active again. I'd like to keep up with your tank, I'm going to try to update my tank thread as well.
