In a 5gal, no gouramis as they'll be too aggressive. White Clouds are coldwater and are too active for a 5 gal

You'd probably be better with a shoal pygmy cories. I don't think there will be enough floor space for normal sized cories :)

i saw a bamboo shrimp today. Would those work with my bettas. Are crabs to agressive?

crabs are too aggressive, need 60% land compared to water, and are brackish.

bamboo shrimp need a 30gal tank or it'll starve, as it filter feeds.

Would this work in my 5 gallon tank: My halfmoon betta, a mystery snail, an African dwarf frog, and 3 ghost shrimps? Are they any other types of shrimps i can get besides ghost?

You could try cherry shrimp, or ones I got called bumblebee shrimp. Although I didn;t have much success with these, their smaller size sent my betta into kill mode :look:

Rule of thumb for me, when it comes to bettas; Don't put anything in that is small enough to eat and that is big enough to be a threat x

Would my betta be okay with a snail, guppies, and ghost shrimps?

I'd stay away from guppies, anything with long fins like that, the betta may mistake it as a male betta or fighter and would go for it.

oh okay. Would my old "planned" tank work with 1 snail, 3 shrimps, 1 african dwarf frog and my betta work?
