It's not sounding to good. How low has the fish been falling on it's side.
Is the fish also heavy breathing?

Not very low but the Platy has been heavy breathing, I think the Molly has been a bit constipated and seems fine now as far as I'll goes but poor thing has red little gills but done a water change so that should hopefully change, not looking good for little Platy though, should I euthanise? I don't want it suffering and to wake up tomorrow to see him dead? I'm so mad this has happened, from ich to this little guy I have noticed he has been like these for around 5 days but has gotten worse, my tank has Been awesome until now but obviously highs and lows expected. I've even had a guppy breed with a Molly by accident lol

I do understand why you let things slip. I lost family and it's hard coming to terms with it.
It's so important to keep up with tank maintenance and water changes.
I don't like to say put the fish down but usually in your heart you know when a fish
is suffering and won't make it. So I leave the choice to you. But the fish does not sound to good.
Maybe leave it for tonight and if the fish get worse than end it's suffering.
So sorry.
Keep us updated if you don't mind.

I haven't really let it slip I just missed a clean out and the rest is history from PaH. I only missed one clean out and even then I've always had tank in tip top conditions with great mating and health for fish this is the first issue and I think it has all spiralled from pets at home bringing illness to tank, I strongly advise no one go there . I ended up with ich from stupid pets at home and now have a fish looking not so good, it isn't actually as bad as it sounds but he just doesn't seems happy compared to the females in the tank ingot with him.

Just as an update, the Molly has sadly died, RIP, I now know it was of no fault of my own that the fish died as I couldn't believe it but the group of four platys were attacking it constantly I've never seen livebearers act like that, I saw one or two do it previously to the fish but I just thought maybe mating behaviour only If I knew I could have split them up. I'm going to add more plants to the several I already have to see if that breaks up the tension.

Just saying ive realised I was calling my Platy a illy and vise versa, update is I had to euthanise the MOLLY got it right now, it was being terrorised literally and had given up didn't deserve it tbh. The PLATY is on the mend, still little nervous at bottom of tank but is on mend.

Sorry thought you had missed more than one water change.

Livebearers can be ruthless. Especially if a fish is sick they will hound it till there death.

Sorry for your loss.
R.I.P.

Hope things start to improve for you.
Good Luck.

Signs are there, guppie giving birth now, this late is a surprise but either way ten so far and she still looks huge, last time i got thirty

Bless her. Congrats.
I love fry. I wouldn't move them as you could end up spreading whitespot to your fry tank.
Have you diluted the medication down in the main tank?

Yes I'm only half dosing so plecs and fry should be treated too but not harmed but I expect it to take a day or two longer

OK. That's fine.
If anymore problems don't hesitate to get back to your thread.

Good Luck.

Float  plants at the top of the tank for the fry to hide in.
Also put a net on filter outlet and tie with a rubber band to stop the fry
getting sucked into the filter.

Hey again, I've had four more fish die, two of which were baby plecs but why are they dying? I've had a Platy and a Molly also go. Is it just some can't fight the disease or something else? They seem to be rid of white spot but I've just done another water change and treated half dose again to be safe

Poor things.

Plecs are very sensitive to parasite meds. Were they heavy breathing before death?

No not a bit and as an update, no more fatalities thanks god. But as an aftermath as bottle suggested, a few fish most notable tetras now have fin rot and are currently being treated. And 16 more fry
How long you think it would be until safe to move fry into fry tank? Don't want them to infect my fry tank with anything as they were born in main tank and I move them over?

I would leave it at least 2 weeks before moving the fry into the other tank.

Which medication are you using for the finrot?

Nice to hear the whitespot has cleared up.
