hopefully this will be that last mistake i make that he has to suffer.. but, never say never

if you need proof on how tough oscars are, just look at waldorf and statler, and what they've been through chick!

Jambo the Invincible, nice ring to it no?

gosh, yes i was thinking about those two,and how tough they are...its a good job i chose oscars as my favorite eh?? for obvious reasons

Aw... Jambo is soo cool, never seen him before. I love the markings on his gills.

aw thanks Keith, he really is, him and his war wounds lol ( like Rambo).. i was looking at his gills yesterday as i thought he was bleeding, but it was fine it is just his markings, must have been the light

i cant remember how long you switched the filter off for, but if it was less than 24 hours and the media was completely soaked most of the bacteria should still be living!

it was less than than 24 hours for sure, i think ( as **** suggested on msn) that the crap at the bottom of the filter all shot in and suffocated the loaches when i primed it . maynot be that, but who knows, ill be testing the water soon so we`ll see what damage has been done, just have to finish something in the kitchen first :)

ah they are fine thanks peter.. really mental the two of them, have ripped my beautiful yukka plant to shreds, destroyed every set of blinds in the house, keep taking the tissue out of tha bathrooms and leaving it in bits all over, but they are great :)

lol @ nelly !

anyway.. look at the test results

ammonia-0
nitrite-0
nitrate-5
PH-7.0

wwwwwooooooooooooo hhhhhhooooooooooooooooo :D

im thinking that the person who advised me was right ( dont know if he wants a mention, but he knows who he is) and it was the crap at the bottom of the filter that suffocated the loach :(
