Hello all this is my first time posting so thank you in advance for any help or advice!
Just picked up my beautiful white halfmoon boy from quaranteen. He has been in his tank for a day now, and I've noticed on part of his tail getting Raggy. The tips of it has almost turn clear and now appear to be falling off. I don't have any sharp plants or rocks that could be tearing it. Anyone know what this could be?!?! image.jpgimage.jpg

From the pictures, it looks like he had been nipping his tail.  With the edges being clear, it is showing regrowth since betta fins regrow clear and then color back up.  Where did you get him from?  Fish that have been shipped especially from overseas, tend to nip their tails while in transit.  Your boy looks very good and the edges of his fins do not appear to have fin rot to me.  Keep his water clean and warm, around 82F, and he should be perfectly fine.  :)   Very pretty boy by the way!  Love the white ones.
