Help My Betta

I would do some water changes on your main tank to dilute the bacteria down with the betta having columnaris.

3 gal is about 13 ltrs.

These are some of the tanks we've had set up for Bettas.

This one is a 65ltr

This is an Aqua Start 320 that we have divided to 2 Bettas....I think it's about 28ltr

There are lots of great little tanks on the market now which are quite reasonably priced too. If you do decide to get one then you would need to get it set up and cycled properly before adding your fish so he has the best start possible.

Wow netty there beautiful tanks, crystal clear water.

Thanks Wilder :good:

The top one now houses my new Dwarf Puffers and the last one I divided into 2 for babies to grow on in.

I think it's so important with Bettas and their delicate fins to keep their water nice and clean.

I have two filter running in my tank and loads of filter floss in one filter, it keeps the water crystal clear.
Never kept betta's., but been tempted.

netty your tanks are amazing. they are gorgeous. if i was to use the tank i have could i divide it into three and keep two male bettas and some females in it would that work or is that a bad idea. as the cheapest i can find those tanks is 50 pound and im trying to buy a car just now so my mums very reluctant to let me buy another one. lol would that work if i got my water conditions perfect.

What size tank is it?

Mmmmm......how could we tempt you even more then :hey:

Not now netty lol. Happy with just the one tank.
Sold the equipment now so I wasn't tempted.

its a 60 litre tank
could i split it into 3

You wouldn't be able to house 2 males and a group of females. One male would work with the rest of the tank for a small groups of females. Females need to be kept in a minimum group of 4 or 5 to spread out any bullying. So you could give your male 3-4 gal section leaving 9-10 gals for a group of girls.

Oh well......I tried

A 60 litre can be divided into 3 for male bettas. Females could be kept in it individually but if you want a group you are looking at around 5 or 6 so that one fish doesn't bully another one too much. So decide - 3 separate fish, or more fish but all girls??? I have a 60 litre and i have 3 boys in it, I got dividers off Modaz on here, he has an Ebay shop - dpfishways_bettas

Once you start to divide tanks you really need a filter on each end of tank.

I seem to be OK with the one filter in the middle..... water flow seems OK on the ends, though with a sponge filter it wasn't good enough. I guess it depends on the filter used.... hmmmm.
