Help me please I need to know about a fish

They seel me things and then dont tell me what they are..

This fish is a Cichilid and is quite placid it has a darkish blue head and body but with orange bands through it. Any Ideas it is about 3 inches and suposubdly wont get much larger that this

We are going to need a little more info such as body shape, verticle or horizontal stripes, # of stripes ect.

Give us as much of a description as you can.

Sounds like it may be a peacock (Aulonocara sp.), but who knows.

If you can provide some more details perhaps we can help ID it.

Vertical stripes
the body is similar to my nichols mouthbrooder. if that helps.

The stripes are not all 100% defined because a little blue and orange are there constantly

How about doing a search and see if you can find a pic online?

Did you try to ask the shop what it is? Even a trade name would help ID it.

yes i asked the LFS and they said it could be an alonoccara which it isnt i have looked at various websites to try and find a picture but failed.

This is Aulonocara sp. chiloelo "orange band".

nope similar body shape though a lot more orange
