Help - Juwel Tank Bowing

Hi,

I’ve got a Juwel Rio 300 and I noticed yesterday that the support bar across the middle has come away at the back (snapped or ripped) and the tank started to bow alarmingly…….I’ve taken just under half the water out to relieve some of the pressure as I was worried about the tank coming apart. Unfortunately this means that I have had to turn the internal filter off and I’m relying on my fluval 304 external….

I can’t get hold of a replacement support bar until Saturday 7th January at the earliest..

Anyone got any experience with this kind of thing? Anyone’s Juwel tank bowed or split before? Is there anything more I should/could do?

First time I've seen that other thread - scary stuff!

If you don't want to leave it like Jimbooo did - do you have any long woodworking clamps New Boy ? Like the ones shown in the first pictures here ?
Just a thought that sprang to mind, I've never been tried it or even been in this situation.
