I bought some live plants to add to my tank (cold water) and I thought I noticed something after putting I’ve plants in. Nothing appears bothered by this guys entrance however as I’m pretty new to fish keeping I wasn’t sure whether best leave it, or remove it. Please help I was wondering if it was some type of shrimp?

Looks like some kind of insect larva, but the pictures are too blurry for a specific id. It will likely kill and eat shrimp and small fish...

I’ll try and get a better picture today, however I have tried researching and what it looks similar in markings and structure to an isopod like the one I’ve attached from a website I found, if it is this, is it worth keeping or removing?
