Hey everyone, I really want shelldwellers but I don't know what size tank.
I would want to go as small as possible for the fish (as it is a desktop tank)
What is the minimum size for a pair of shelldwellers? (Neolamprogus multifasciatus) while keeping up to date on fry removal.

Really depends on the foot print of the tank. The more floor space the better, and really the bigger the better in general. How much room do you have on the desk?

I'd not have a pair in anything less than a 5gal tank (the ones with a larger foot print), but even then 10gals is preferred as it will allow the fry to grow enough before you rehome them.

This link states that a standard 10gal is best for a pair.

Will a pair be able to live happily in a 7.5 gallon with a surface area of 30cm by 35 cm?

I would say yes, just make sure you have a male/female pair and not 2 males.
