Just a quick intro! My name is Craig and I joined the world of fish keeping on Xmas Day. It is something that I have wanted to do for a long time and now I have moved to a new house with extra bedrooms I have the space!

I have always had an interest in fish as I am a keen fisherman as well so the interest is there but now I want to keep them and I am really excited to get the process started.

I have been snooping around the forum for some time, it looks great and I look forward to using it to its advantage!

Thanks!

Welcome Craig,

It's a remarkably common crossover, fishing and fishkeeping. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Hope you enjoy the hobby.

A couple of tips, you probably already have read these but will give the link anyway just in case,

If you do proceed to do a Fishless Cycle (which i thoroughly recommend BTW) then you will need some ammonia and perhaps some bacteria starter if you cannot get hold of some mature media from a friend or LFS as that would give you the best start possible for cycling your tank.

Here's a link that may help you find some suitable ammonia and bacteria starter which is recommended by most.

Very best of luck and if you do get stuck or unsure, just ask and we'll be happy to help you.

Oh, and do post pic or two as you go along
