Havent been on in awhile quite the busy life recently, but i just set up my new 55gallon the other day, and everything is running great so far. It has the following:
Clown pleco, featherfin catfish, an african cichlid, jack dempsey(small), yellow lab, venustus, 3 gouramis, 2 hybrid blood parrots, and a few snails from the river. I plan on putting in some clams from the river when it warms up a bit, and i plan on getting a jaguar cichlid, gold severum, and some zebra hybrid cats( sydonitis hybrid)
Any problems? all have plenty of hiding and i will be moving the gouramis when the others get bigger.
Thanks

You've got quite a mix of aggressive fish and shy fish there, and are mixing tropicals, African cichlids, and South American cichlids. I think you'll have real problems with aggression as the fish grow, and you'll also have major difficulty providing the right conditions for all those fish (SA cichlids for example typically like low pH, african cichlids high pH).

I agree with Craster and I wouldn't add any more fish to the tank.
You will have problems with the mix of fish you have because the majority of them are so aggressive and ideally need a bigger tank.

jaguar cichlid get huge, sorry dont think 55 is big enough. And would munch down on pretty much everything

Your tank is way to small mate, you'll need at least 125 gallon.
also, why have you mixed all them types of fish?

One they are small and they have been together for quite a long time. Two they do not fight at all, they all eat, they all have places to hide, and only the dempsey has been nipped in the fins. Three i have another tank to put them in later. Does anyone have any PERSONAL experience with these fish? I could google a fish profile if i wanted to.
Thanks

u be lucky to get any advice with an attitude like that.. people are giving your there opinions and i would be inclined to take the advice on offer or go elsewhere
that just my opinion by the way ;)

Your right, im sorry. Its just that it is so hard to find out things on here. Most of the time people just post things from a fish profile. Its like you asking how a car rides and someone reads/ copy pastes you the manual.

yes i can appreciate that of course i can, and yes it can get frustrating, but u will often find that opinions differ and someone will correct some one else etc etc, so with that mix i say its safe to assume you are getting good advice :)

hope all goes to plan for you

Lol, my dad through some in his tank, and he a similar assortment of fish, just some jewels, texas cichlids, and convicts and they were fine so i may try my luck with them. At least i will know that if they do die they wont be put to waste ;)
