Heater problems!!!! help pls

I checked the temp of my tank and it was a whopping 90 so i stupidly took the heater out and you know what that caused

there are visible overheating marks on the heater but no glass breaking or cracks i am just wondering if it is safe to use

If in doubt, chuck it out

Personally I would replace the heater since if it overheated, it has lost its thermostatic ability and damaged its core. I would be inclined to bin it and replace it.

Bin it, it's mot worth the risk using it.

heaters are the weakest point in any tan. They aee not cheap, but they don't last. Once they malfunction like that, they are done.

thx, i just grabbed another but was just a worry because it happened at night when i couldn’t get one and i didn’t know if they would last
