Have You Ever Seen Hikari Tropical Flake In Your Lfs

Hey guys it's been a while since I was last on. I was wondering if anyone has seen this brand in their lfs.

I've searched and searched but am unable to find it on a uk based website so I've come here as from my reading of threads it seems that most problems (fish related) can be solved here with ease.

Based on the reviews and feedback I've got from people in other countries (via another fish forum) Hikari TF is a really good fish food. Particularly since it doesn't have coloring added like our tetra min.

I'd be interested in a technical analysis of the major brands and the more... specialist? Marketing to the uneducated is after all very easy.

Don't know if its the same, but I have hikari tropical micro wafers. My guppies are too small to eat regular tropical food!

Hikari have a range of products most of which are available in the UK in cluding the micro wafers you mention hanny. But I'm looking for the "flake."

Hikari food is fantastic currently I am feeding 9 different types of there food to my Loaches and other fish, not all at the same time

Nope. Unfortunately I've never seen it in a LFS. A few years ago Hikari had a promo where if you sent them a competitors empty flake container, they would send you theirs in exchange. Not too shabby of a deal.

If I could find it now I probably would start buying it instead of TetraMin.

Sure they sell it at Wharf Aquatics (in store) they have a large display rack with them on as i buy the micro pellets and wafers....

I gave them a call and it seems that hikari have stopped making the #41#### thing!


So annoying!
