Have I Got The Wrong Sort Of Tank?

Hi again. Can i just ask another question? The surface of the water in the tank is all frothy and bubbly. Is that normal. I have a pump and the top of the filter is sticking out and pouring water back in to it causing it to froth a bit. Any answers?

Cheers :good:

*EDIT* In addition, why are the leaves turning black/brown? They are all artificial. If i could get an answer that would be appreciated to.

Thanks.

The leaves in the artificial plants are probably getting a layer of algae growth on them. They can be cleaned easily with a clean cloth and some used tank water. If it is not algae, it could be a bit of a layer of bacteria. In that case I would leave it for now. The frothing may be the result of the type of food you are feeding. Some have lots of fish meal in them which can cause a bit of frothing but is a good ingredient for most fish. Unless you have already done so, you need to cut back 0n the feeding to nly once a day and only what the fish eat in the first couple of minutes. They will still act hungry after that but it is OK.
