I have just been reading your reply to someone else on their fish in cycle and written down your advice to show hubby when he comes home lol he is a bit heavy handed when squeezing green sponges
the ammonia is getting less each day now and hardly able to distinguish between 0 and next 0.25 so really much better. I am going to order filter wool and leave my sponge alone except for the obvious bits of greenery that get stuck in there from my yellow snail ( Captain Nemo ) munching on the plants sending bits up into filter.
Every morning when I get up first thing after switching tank light counting and checking fish all ok on is try to find him to make sure he is ok he gets everywhere and is usually inside my submarine (hence the name) or inside the artificial log or behind one of the plants I have in tank. Then I feed the dogs lol then myself.
When all this has settled down what do you suggest for algae control I have 64L tank 3 golden barbs, 3 danios ,Captain Nemo and 5 neon tetras.
I am virtually housebound so am hoping to get a lot of pleasure from watching my tank (once I've got this cycle sorted )
