Hey folks wanted hatchets for quite a while now, the only thing stopping me is a total lack of stock at most LFS's for some reason :(

Anyway, as I got bored of waiting for my marbled hatchets I purchased a couple of male Gouramis to spruce things up a little. One of the males has decided to make the amazon frogbit jungle his home, and so the other male tends to wonder round the tank a little aimlessly (might take him back tbh!).
sooo, am a little concerned that there could be a territorial issue between the gouramis and the hatchets, as I suspect they would all want to share the same part of the tank?

Oh it's a Juwel Vision 180 with plenty of plants but frogbit is restricted to about a quarter of one side of the tank and I cannot split without other plants suffering.

Any advice appreciated!

Olly.

I would think that they would be ok together. Hatchets hang tight to the top and dwarf gouramis stay mostly to the middle and lower part of the tank (from my experience with them).

Thanks for the reply Robby. Reason I was concerned is because one of the gouramis has made a bubble nest already and spends a good deal of time under the frogbit, where I assumed the hatchets would prefer to hang in..?

Anyway, I found some silver hatchets in P'H today, and was a little stunned to see them going for a fiver each  They much bigger than I had seen before too! Think I might leave this option for a while after that little shock!

i ha that same combo, though now they are all dead ecept for 1 gourami. :-(
totally unrelated issue though, but yeah theyll go fine together
