I've read alot about the Ageneiosus marmoratus and have several species in this family. I was wondering if anyone had kept any and if they had any advice on them.

I kept a couple for 6 months last year, unfortunately Ageneiosus species seem to be very prone to bacterial infections and i lost both to an unknown but presumed bacterial disease that wouldnt respond to treatment.

Like all Ageneiosus species they are nocturnal and will just rest on the bottom during daylight so they are best kept with tank mates that wont bother them during the day, at night they cruise the tank endlessly trying to swallow anything they come into contact with, these species have HUGE mouths so tankmates under half their length are instant meals. Because they are so nocturnally active a tank of at least 5x2x2 is recomended for keeping them.
