My impeller makes a clicking sound when running dry and sometimes stops altogether. It's a fluval u4.

yep...... my sponge blocks the hole where the propeler is stopping the outlet flow alltogether, i did post about it but no one had a helpful reply, its a fluval u1 i ended up puting something under the sponge to keep it raised, dont know if thats ok or not?

I have the same filter and read about the same problems so put some plastic bio balls at the bottom then the sponge, no problems ever since

Yes I have a problem!! Just got my new tetratec ex700 today set it up and its not starting up.. help meee!!
