I would get the other med you can use that med as well with coloumnaris but not just on it''s own.
Just one teaspoon of salt, good luck.

thanks, its not looking good though as hes upside down at the bottom of the hosp tank now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so should i add some protozin tonight and then get some melafix tommorow and use them both or just wait till tommorow and just use the melafix??

last night i checked on him before i went to bed and he had died!
por thing i feel really cruel now!! do you think the stress of moving him to the hosp tank finished him off? are hosp tanks a good idea?

i had a look at him when he was dead and could see nothing wrong with him apart from haveing tatty torn fins, this came on really quick he was fine 2 days ago!!

what do you think the problem was?
should i medicate the whole tank, if yes what for (disease)and what with?

i dont want any more fish dying its cruel!!

also noticed that one of my rummy nose has totally dissapeared!! it must have died and the others ate it or sumthin cause theres no sign of it or any remains!!

Sorry R.I.P. bacterial finrot could of been a secondary infection need to look at all the fish in the tank to see what going on.

hi so all the fish in the tank in now look fine, no marks, strange behaviour etc.

but if the rummy nose thats missing had died (it was the 1 with not a lot of tail) would the other fish and the frogs have ate it? as theres no remains that i can see anywhere!!

im going to try ant take some pics later and have a go at posting them!

hey sorry cant post any pics tonight as my stupid camera has just gone flat! im charging it up and i'll take some tomorow evening.

in the meantime any ideas on whats going on (see my last post) i still cant find the rummy nose tetra thats missing!

I would try and see if you can find the dead fish by maybe pulling everything out of the tank, plus with a fish dying in the tank i would recommend a water change.

hey yeh i have moved stuff around but cant find it! i think theyve eaten it - thats gross!!

i tested my water today stats are
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 15
pH7.2
temp 24oc

i then did a water change.
