I have a 30 gallon guppy tank that has been up and running for about 6 years, I will admit that it has been a let nature take its course type of tank and the tank has thrived...even through an ice storm when I lost electricity for about 6 days and I had to temporarily relocate, leaving the fish behind. Anyway long story longer I left town for seven days and left the tank light on a timer and an automatic feeder. Something went wrong, feeder stopped working and the light stayed on the entire time...the fish were traumatized about 15 of the 30 fish had died. Fast forward 7 months to the present, I am down to 4 females and there have been no successful fry births.
Now to my point or question: I am looking for "old fashion guppies" the kind that were popular 40 years ago, I have no idea what breed they were. The females were small and gray/silver and the males small grey bodies and tails of black/greens and blues...they were very close to what people call "feeder guppies" today, heck I would be happy with a tank full of "feeder Guppies" if I could find a source. Anyone know what I am talking about? I am located near Charleston SC.
