1E9BDE73-E5CE-4F6C-B546-CDC603D233A4.jpeg Hi there,

Today I woke up to feed my ish and I noticed a clear dangling thing coming out of my gouramis poop whole. Iā€™m worried it might be a worm??!?! If so, how do I remove it? Can I pull it out with tweezers?

Cheers

Has it gone now? I've seen white stringy poo when my fish was bloated, try giving them peas to help cure bloatedness. I dont know anything about worms so i couldnt give you advice on that i'm afraid.

Does your fish look better yet? I had similar issue start this weekend, combined with a strange color difference on the fish. I reduced feeding, tried the pea trick but he doesnt seem to like veggies no matter what I do.

How did you feed the peas to them.
I cook mine in boiling water, only about 4 peas I only have 8 fish.
After a few mins take them out, pop them out the shell then cut them into very small chunks. As small as you can without cutting your fingers. My gourami is normally the first one to it. There are other veg you can feed them, not sure if they have the same effect as peas though.

Hi all,

Thank you so much for all your suggestions. I think the issue was that my tank hadnā€™t finished cycling yet so that was making him very sick. I moved him to my other established tank and he recovered dramatically, his constipation cleared and became much more active. His colour returned and the black dots and grey sludges disappeared. I also added some tonic salt which helped him aswell.
