Well, I got my 35l Arcadia Arc for £15 from LFS.

And I did get it for a betta tank but changed my mind.

So today I found one that fits in a shelf below the arc tank (wil show photos when set up) thats perfect for 1 betta, the tank cost me £8 :p

Here it is please tell me its ok for 1 betta :p :

not sure about the tank but the green thing behind will be ideal.

.only jesting, yes look's fine for a solo betta tank :good:

One thing that troubles me, would the betta be lonely and get upset? should I get like a couple of shrimp or somthing so hes not lonely?

I don't think bettas mind being alone as long as you interact with them, bit like a single oscar.

No they are fine on their own, you could have some shrimp though if you like, its always trial and error, some betta's with accept company, others will try to destroy it!! Nice find, btw, how is the cycle going?

haha you are getting some right bargains!

should be fine for a betta ;)

im gonna go out and slap somefish on the BBQ :p

Yes that will be fine for a betta tank. It look similar to the one in my sig except mine has a filter and light built into the lid. I have Duncan ( blue VT in the sig ) in that hex tank. He's done just fine in it by himself.

Bettas don't need company, theough if you did want to have something in there with one, then slightly larger shrimp such as 2 or 3 Ghost shrimp would be best. Little ones like cherries would most likely get eaten.

It's the wrong shape for bottom feeder companions really. Even pygmy cories wouldn't have much floorspace.

I'd say have a really nice male betta, and some shrimp.

I get all my tanks from Car boot sales. I'm banned from having any more though, mother makes me shut my eyes and shove my hands in my pockets when I walk by one
