I've tried three different foods with Kita so far. First I tried a flake kind. I cant remember the name (cant find the container) but it was in a white container with blue writing. He barely picked at it. Then I got the Hikari bio-gold pellets. He picked at those even less. Now I'm using Top Fin betta bits. He kinda picks at these too but doesnt seem too interested. When I had my last betta I had this one brand that everyone (from a different forum) used and he loved it. I just cant remember the dang name

His water temp is normal so I'm pretty sure that's not it. I know that he's eating, because he's not dead. He just doesnt seem to enthused about the food haha

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Hi

How often and how much are you feeding him? Are there any other fish with him and is there a lot of water surface movement?

Andy

I just need to know a good brand. I've tried bloodworms also. Doesn't like them too much either. I'm not new to bettas...so no there is no other fish with him and no surface movement

I cant remember the name of the last brand I used. I also haven't seen it at any of the large chain stores...or at a fish shop that I went to

Fine. I was only gonna try and help?

Haha...I just read back through my post and realized it sounded a little snobby

Didn't mean for it to come across that way. ;)

Ah nps :good:

I would persevere with betta gold pellets and the betta bites. Try feeding 3/4 pellets twice a day, but if he doesn't eat the first pellet dont put anymore in that time. Have you tried brineshrimp?, but the problem is they die quite quickly so may be a waste of your money:(

The other thing you could try is pea. Pop the pea in boiling water for 5 mins, then deshell it and pinch a small piece off and see if he likes it. Dont give it more than once a week though.

Editted to please Netty

Bronzecat will be back in a minute to edit his post so you can understand it........cos I didn't

Haha...thanks

I'm going to stick with the betta bites. I'm done running out and buying new foods haha. Yea, I tried the pea the other day and he just nibbled at it a tiny bit. I guess he's just a very picky eater
