Gold Gourami

i want to get some gouramis, and i probably will get honey gouramis, but i saw gold gouramis which get a fair size and look great, would they eat my neon tetras? and do i need more females then males?

Generally speaking, any fish that fits in another fishes mouth will get eaten.

well, i heard from people and i read that gold gouramis are good for community aquariums

Gold gouramis are usually fine with fish such as neons due to their peacefull nature

My two gold gouramis are nice and peaceful to my 10 neons, 4 minnows, and even my 2 little guppy fry; so, I wouldn't worry too much! ^^;

one another note, will i need 2 females for 1 male, or what is the required ratio?

I dunno what I have; but, I think that I have two males. Just either get, like, 2 males, or the required ratio (yeah, that's it; 2:1-f:m). ^^; ;D ;3

Yea... the goldens are an affiliate of your cosby/blue Gourami and they are in general peacefull fish... they'll be fine with the neons,,, Sex differences are accentuated by the length of the dorsal fin... the male dorsal is longer and pointed, and the female dorsal is short and rounded... no mistaking!
