hey guys
just thought i would say a good bye post to my aggresive cichlids
i have come to the conclusion that they take up too much space and money and i could do so much more with their tanks
im going to do Apistos again, and i am currently collecting them and once i get a 6 footer im converting it into dwarf cichlids and discus and tetras.
dont get me wrong, i love the personalitly of the aggresives but i go through too much trouble for them.
so goodbye to my:
severums(they are, funnily enough, very aggresive in my tank)
blue acara
giant krib
and my breeding pair of jewels, i will miss them the most :(

look forward to seeing loads of pics of my new fish :p

I partly agree with you on this I currently have 2 firemouths and a severum which are sick right now. Most likely if they weren't sick I would disagree lol. I've often thought of going with different types of fish, but preferablly I'd like to save my 2 firemouths and sev, I've kind of grown attached to them over the past 5 months.

Aw boo. I'm still in the experimental stage with a pair of jade eye cichlids. Hope they breed and don't kill each other :S

 and most of them arent even considered aggressive, with the exception of the jewels all those Cichlids are considered to be community safe.

i knew you were going to say that, :p
but as you may or may not recall, a few weeks ago i sold the aggresive cichlids, planing on buying some back when i've had enough of the semi-aggresive ones. But when i was at the lfs, ready to buy the aggresives back and take some semi aggresives back to the lfs, i heard that there will be a brand new shipment of Apistos allowed in to Australia, along with new loaches and clown plecos ( :) )

and decided, its not worth the trouble. so gave em up :D

and Blue Acaras and Severums arnt community safe, think of all the neons that could eat :p

DD

 Its the neons that arent community safe, poxy little things that even Appistos will eat if they can catch them.

thats why neons are good dithers for apistos ;)

and yeh, neon tetras should probably be kept to species tanks...or not at all :p
