Furry Fish

Just go back from a friends house and we were looking at his tank and noticed 1 of his danios looked furry. As if his scales werw all standing on their ends can any1 tell me if tgis is a disease and how to trteat it

Sounds like drops if it looks like a pinecone, usually at this stage its too late, does it look bloated? If so try feeding a deshelled cooked pea.
If its dropsy then a epsom salt bath will help, never helped me though.

If the scales are sticking out then your friends fish has dropsy. By now it is too late to save the poor little lad. Dropsy is rarely curable, and if I were you I would consider euthanasia to end the fish's suffering. Sorry to her that that happened

Possibly, it depends what started the problem.
If its bad water quality then yes, the others may get it.

Ok thanks for ur help ill let him know. He will be gutted that was the first fish he bought.
