Fluval Roma 240 With 305 External Filter

Hi all
what do you think about the fluval 305 external filter for the 240lt tank,
it has a turnover of 1000 lt per hour,
is this enough turnover for a 240lt tank?
would i eventually have to upgrade to a bigger filter?
what filter would you have for a 240lt?

it really depends on what set up you want... if its planted then 10x turnover is the target to aim at. also depends on the stocking of the tank and the species kept. some like fast water some dont, the more fish the more turn over is better.

i have a low tech planted fully stocked roma 240 and i have 2 x rena XP3's filtering it and cant fault them

Without looking at my 305 manual i beleive it will process just over 1000 Lph

In my experience it is more than enough. The 305 is rated up to 300L.

I have this exact setup. And it coped fine with my overstocked Mbuna tank.
