Fiyero Doing Poorly

It's definitely not velvet. He's on parasite meds because I suspect that it's parasites that are causing the dropsy to begin with; it's definitely not constipation or fluid retention, because I already tried treating for both of those.

He's just worsening so fast. He's spending most o fhis time on the bottom now. I put Elphaba's bowl next to him because she really does seem to like the look of him; she's showing off spawning bars, and staying near the bottom so he can see her, but he really isn't taking much interest. She's terribly confused

Bless her and him, have you tryed mixing a bacteria med plus a parasite med together to treat both, plus add abit of salt to his bowl.

I'll give it a shot, but I just hate to see him struggling like this. I'm just fighting to decide which would be kinder to him at this point.

I'm sorry, you no when they had enough, plus he might not be strong enough now for both meds, good luck anyway.

How terrible, Andie. It must be soo hard to see such a good Daddy getting so sick. You're doing everything possible for him, I REALLY hope he pulls through!

Well, I wouldn't call him a good daddy . . . he ate most of his kids, after all But he has such personality, and he was so . . . gah He was beautiful. It took me months to find a male that was what I was looking for, and to face the prospect of losing him so soon seems just . . . unfair, somehow. But to keep him alive wouldn't be fair to him. I'm changing his water daily, and still it smells awful- you can actually smell him rotting away and I just can't bear to make him suffer any more.

I went to check on him this morning and he was gone. The rot had spread to his body overnight- I didn't even get the chance to spare him that. This is just killing me.
