this really isn't geting any quicker, 18 hours now since last ammonia and nitrite is still at 1ppm

OK, about an average time span one would expect a cycling process to complete.

I say average. Dare I say it could take another week or so yet!

i never expected it to be as much as a pain in the arse this has, especially when i see people cycling their tank in about 2 weeks
