Is there anything beneficial to doing a water change in the middle of a fishless cycle ? I'm 8 days into the process on a 10 gallon tank thats planted with fairly high Trites and mid Trates. Or would you just leave it alone ? Reason I ask is that ever since I set it up the water has been kind of a golden brown color that doesnt seem to clear like my other cycled tank did.

Thanks in advance ...........

You do not need to change water during fishless cycle until up to the point where nitrate level is getting too high.

During high nitrate buildup stage, water buffer gets eaten away, and PH might crash. Water change is required to restore water buffer and PH, or the cycling can be stalled when the water is too acidic.
