Fishless Cycle Ph Crash

been cycling my 55gal for about a week and yesterday for the first time i had a high nitrite reading and my ph was 7.8

now today my ph is, well the liquid is white (using api liquid)

what do i do?

bumb it up with bicarbonate of soda, 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons, start of with 2 and work from their

do i just put it straight in the tank water?

disolve 2 tea spoons into some warm water and add to the tank

Alternatively, yes do a water change, it happens alot in fishless cycles, just remember to re-charge with the correct amount of ammonia when you have finished and dechlorinate as normal.

just tested for ph and 2 tea spoons bumped me beack up to 7.8
