Fish You Will Never Buy Again.

Goldfish, but not because I don't love them to bits. Its more because they require so much space, space that I do not have. I'm still keeping my two though; my only present this Christmas from the entire family is going to be a 75 gallon tank for them.

Chinese Algae Eater, just because they are completely and utterly useless, and very messy. I love my little Reebum, but he is so gross. No matter what kind of filtration I have, what size tank he is in, or what I feed him, he still craps like a horse. I often times have to do full water changes just because it is impossible to siphon up all of his fecal output. Furthermore, its kindof boring and lame to have one shy, semi-nocturnal, inactive fish in a tank, considering how much time, money, and effort goes into upkeep.

Kuhli Loaches.
I loooove loaches, especially khulis.

I'd never get livebearers (on purpose) again, though fry do sometimes sneak in the bag when I buy feeder ghost shrimp and I keep them around as best I can. If they're lucky I'll have a tank without something that can eat them to put them in, otherwise it's just kinda a "you guys fend for yourselves" type of thing.

Others on my list include any type of shoaling fish (with very few exceptions) and cories, though I could probably be persuaded to buy one of the dwarf species if I were to see them.

I don't hate them,my tetra's love them, but which they would do more as they make me feel guilty, as i don't want them to sit around looking unhappy, i try my best but is not enough.

Ugh, there are plenty of fish I would never buy.

Any wild caught fish
Any kind of live bearer
Neon tetras, cardinal tetras, black tetras
Pretty much any kind of danio
Any kind of goldfish
Angelfish
Frontosa
Kribs
Kissing gourami
Bolivian ram
CAEs or SAEs
Parrot fish
Any kind of dyed fish

Just to name a few.

Like many of my fish he responds to my voice and gets all excited when I go for a chat with him. And it isn't food related. He'll respond no matter what time of day it is, even if he's just been fed and has a full tummy.

add Bettas to mine, nice fish, but they seem to turn their owners brain to mush. ;)

Guppies, tetras (unless its like a nice big school of healthy hardy ones), danios (again unless its a nice big school in a species tank), too small plecs (ie, not buying one unless its over 3´´)...

My tetra's are really active apart from when they've just woken up.

I'd say female guppies because i can't be doing with all the fry and all the ones that i've ever had were really agressive and nippy.

Golden and blue rams aswell but really because they don't do well in my water, probably too alkaline

paradise fish
and golden gourami (although i don't think i'd buy any type of gourami after my experience!!)

but that is probably about it.. we haven't experienced too many fish, as we have most of our originals still, and when we move them to the new tank we will just up the numbers of the groups we already have!! :D

Danios- all they do is chase each other
Female guppies- though I still like the males I've got
Tetras- all forms, now have an irrational distrust of them

never trust anyone who works at a store to trust sex any type of cichlid!!!

EDIT:

Oh and goldifsh in ponds are brilliant, In tanks? Boring as hell.

Tigerbarbs...those guys are little mosters and terrors. They terriozed my tank ;-)

hahahah my platy attacks and terrorizes the tigerbarbs... and theyre twice her size

id have to say orange swordtails, the one i have is currently huge and terrorizing everything that moves.

Mollies, Swords & Platies - not saying they can't be pretty (though that's not all fish are required to be) - they just don't do anything for me.

Fish that hide all the time - though not all plecs fall into that catagory - but if I get them and find they do - and I don't see them at least once a week - out they go :grr:
what's the enjoyment of keeping fish that you never ever (even wtih moonlights) see :dunno:

Can't think of anything else at the mo -_-

Guppies and Tetras..... Guppies get their fins nipped too much, and tetras are boring. I wouldn't get danios again either.

Convict Cichilds......

....bought 4.........they have been in all three of my larger tanks at different times.........they bother anything else in their tanks to death especially when they have eggs.........and all they do is lay eggs......raise young......lay eggs.......raise young....repeat.....

...They are also a little dark in colour, so with a background of slate.....they didn't visually appeal to my other half.....

Oh well.......two adult mating pairs and about 20 juves of various sizes going to the LFS........unless anyone nearby wants them?

...oh.....and Mollies.......just find that they have ugly faces....
