Fish Suggestions Please

I have a two foot tank (around 60litres) which has been running for about 3 years. I neglected it a bit over the last few months, but in the last few weeks I have been cleaning up and improving it.

I currently have:
2 platys (female)
5 x-ray tetras
1 BN plec (Bertie!)
3 zebra loaches

I bought the loaches a few weeks ago to cure a chronic snail problem which they have now done but I think they will outgrow the tank with the plec too so I am thinking of rehoming them.

Then I would like to add one or two more fish to make a centrepiece. Maybe a dwarf gourami or something like that? I am open to suggestions. Preferably something that will get on with my tetras and I also want to keep the platys which my children love.

Dwarf Gourami would be nice, or Honey's

Or possibly some small Cichlids, Ram's? Apistogramma?

i deffinatley suggest some appistogramma cacatuoides.. they are lovely and would make a good centre fish... if you get a male and female they will be great ... maybe a chance of breeding.. the male gets about 4 inches and the female gets about 2 inches i think.. lovely fishes

Just took a look, they look fantastic. I feel a trip to the lfs coming on....

It would be best to get them from a breeder. I personally would go for Apistogramma agassizii (my profile pic is of my male) i think there alot more colourful.
If not what about a pair of Dwarf flag cichlids or Checkerboard cichlid.

I like all of these, I will probably nip out tomorrow and see what my lfs has to offer
