My common name suggests that I eat algae, I can become aggressive with age and I grow fairly large; what am I?

Cheers...

Ah, but there's some pretty imaginative common names :p Simple 'algae eater' is a good one... sucker fish... algae eating catfish... you could go on for days :p

Someone start another question.

ok, I'll ask a question- would this be a suitable tank?
10 gallons
1 dwarf gourami
6 neon tetras
3 pepper cories
1 betta
2 otos

why or why not?

over stocked by a few inches there

dwarf - 2
neons - 6
corries 3@2 - 6
betta - 1
ottos 2@2 - 4

total around -19 inches..??

also the gourami and the betta may have some problems there....

It could work. Could be a female betta or a docile male, not really overstocked unless you were running some pathetic filtration...
